Hair Removal Face - Creams
Versus Permanent Removal Methods
When it comes to hair
removal face hair is one of the most difficult types. Not
only is it important to remove facial hair as painlessly as
possible but it also needs to be done in a way that doesn’t
irritate the skin. Due to the fact that unwanted facial hair
is such a common problem – especially for women - there are
a number of different techniques that can be used to combat
it. This article will talk about the three main categories
of facial hair removal techniques as well as some specific
examples.
The three categories of hair removal methods are temporary,
semi-permanent and permanent. Although permanent hair
removal is the most attractive option unfortunately the
methods have some drawbacks – mainly that they’re very
expensive. Temporary methods are usually much cheaper but
need to be performed regularly.
One example of a temporary technique is hair removal face
creams. These contain chemicals that break down the
individual hairs meaning they can be removed without the
need for tweezers or a razor blade. There are many types of
hair removal cream but you should always ensure you buy one
specifically made for the face to make sure that it won’t
irritate the skin. One disadvantage of hair removal face
creams is that they can’t be used on eyebrows because the
chemicals can be damaging to the eye.
Some other common examples of temporary hair removal include
using tweezers and shaving. Shaving usually isn’t an option
for facial hair as it results in stubble and darker hair
over time. Tweezers can remove hair without this problem but
using them is a time consuming process that can irritate the
skin. Another example of a temporary hair removal method is
facial hair threading which has the benefit of being quick
and less harsh on the skin but is also painful.
But what if you want to permanently remove facial hair?
There are several different options – the main ones being
electrolysis and laser hair removal. These techniques are
much more permanent than some of the alternatives such as
hair removal face creams but also cost a lot more. They’re
not guaranteed to remove all facial hair in one treatment
but will nearly always be able to reduce the amount.
Laser hair removal for facial hair can only be used on
people that have light skin. The darker your hair the more
effective it will be. The reason is that the laser is of a
specific frequency to get rid of darker hair so it won’t be
effective on fair haired people. Electrolysis, on the other
hand, can be used on any combination of skin and hair color.
Both techniques have the potential side effect of
discoloring or scarring although this is rare.
Compared to temporary methods such as using a hair removal
face cream permanent techniques are much more effective in
the long term. You should consider whether it’ll be cheaper
for you to continue paying for creams or temporary therapies
over the next few years than it will be to get a more
permanent treatment.
I wish you all the best on your
hair removal face adventure!
Best wishes,
